Pinkard said the home's monitoring system captured three people running away from the home in the area of Southwest 98th Street and 103rd Avenue after they were unable to open the door.

Officers who were called to the home found a flashlight outside the back of the home and pry marks to the door.

Anyone with information about the attempted burglary is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
