2 in custody after police raid suspected grow house in Hialeah

10-plant marijuana operation discovered inside home, police say

HIALEAH, Fla. – Two people were taken into custody Monday afternoon after authorities raided a suspected marijuana grow house in Hialeah, authorities said.

The raid happened at an apartment complex at 5825 W. 25th Court.

Hialeah police Sgt. Carl Zogby said a 10-plant marijuana operation was found inside the home. 

Zogby said a woman and a man were taken into custody, and a 4-year-old boy was removed from the home.

Police did not immediately say who has taken custody of the boy, but said that the Department of Children and Families has been notified. 

Zogby said that the family were reportedly squatting in the apartment.

The suspects' identities were not immediately released.
