2 men sought in connection with armed robbery at Hollywood gas station

$99 taken from cash register, police say

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Hollywood police are searching for two men who robbed a gas station convenience store last week at gunpoint.

The armed robbery was reported just after 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Shell gas station at 815 N. Federal Highway.

Surveillance video shows two men entering the store and placing items on the counter.

Police said one thief walked behind the counter as the other robber pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun.

Authorities said the armed robber pointed the gun at the clerk as his accomplice took $99 in cash from the register.

Both robbers left in a faded gray, two-door Nissan Altima.

Anyone with information about the robbers' identities is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
