Sarasota County Sheriff's Office deputies said the victim came out of the business and saw a red four-door Mercedes driving out of the parking lot.

She said her passenger-side window was smashed out and her purse was missing.

Deputies said officers with the Venice Police Department spotted the suspects and attempted to pull over the vehicle.

Deputies eventually took over the chase and arrested the men after they bailed out of the car and ran into a neighborhood, authorities said.

The purse and items inside had a total value of about $550, authorities said.

All stolen items were returned to the victim.

Derrick Phillips and Blunt Cooper, both 34, face charges of burglary and grand theft.
