GREENACRES, Fla. ā€“ Two South Florida men are facing robbery charges after they beat up a 12-year-old boy and stole two pairs of pricey Air Jordan shoes, authorities said.

Nicolas Sanchez, 22, of Boynton Beach, and Gonzalo Munoz, 19, of Lake Worth, were arrested Sunday.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office probable cause affidavits, Sanchez and Munoz were among a group of five people who attacked the boy in the Tavares Cove mobile home park in Greenacres.

The boy told detectives that he had gone to a birthday party with the intent of selling his retro Air Jordan size 11 shoes, which are worth $300.

He was walking back to his home early Sunday when the five attackers, who had been at the party, confronted him.

The boy said his attackers punched and kicked him several times. He said they also took the Air Jordan shoes he was wearing off his feet.
