25-year-old man shot in Miami

Sky 10 shows white Hyundai with multiple bullets holes at scene

MIAMI ā€“ A 25-year-old man was injured Tuesday in a shooting in Little Haiti, authorities said.

Miami Fire Rescue officials confirmed that they took the victim from the scene in the 6900 block of Northwest Third Avenue to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

Authorities said he had multiple gunshot wounds. He had at least one wound in his abdomen.

Sky 10 was above the scene at 1:40 p.m. and saw a white Hyundai blocked off with police tape. The car had multiple bullet holes on the front passenger door and what looked like blood could be seen on the passenger seat.

"Whoever did this, y'all was wrong for doing this by the school," a woman who only wanted to be identified as Meika said.

Meika, who lives nearby, said her children go to the learning center on the corner. She said they are lucky that there were no classes Tuesday.

"For this to happen, what if one of our babies was in there?" Meika said. "Thank God we have a mayor's election day today, because other than that, our children would have been hit."

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
