4 men steal cars from dealership in Pompano Beach, police say

Thieves get away with BMW 3 Series, Nissan Rouge

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Police are searching for four young men who were caught on surveillance video early Friday breaking into Goval Auto Sales in Pompano Beach.

Police said the men broke into the dealership about 2 a.m. and got away with a black BMW 3 Series and a Nissan Rouge.

Employees said the thieves first cut the cables to security cameras and pointed them skyward. Then they pried a piece of the wooden wall away and broke into the office.

The thieves tried to disable the alarm and stole nearly a dozen keys from the key case.

Although they disabled the company's surveillance system, video of them was captured from the business next door.

The video shows the foursome casing cars for 40 minutes before leaving with the two vehicles.

The dealership manager said the Nissan Rogue was recovered nearby, but the BMW and the car keys are still missing.

"That's one of the biggest problems right now, (that) the keys are missing," the manager said. "Being expensive is the least of my problems. It's just like, if they come back at night again and try to pick up all the other vehicles."

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
