NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Authorities were investigating a dog grooming salon Wednesday on allegations of abuse and neglect in Broward County.
Broward Sheriff's Office deputies found animals inside the Canine Design at 972 SW 81 Ave., in North Lauderdale. The smell coming from the business concerned neighbors.
A Broward Animal Care and Regulation crew found nine abandoned dogs and about 20 hedgehogs without food and water.
The business owner was evicted in October.
