Boynton Beach woman arrested in Fort Lauderdale bank robbery

Sonya Clark, 52, accused of robbing TD Bank branch Saturday

The FBI says Sonya Clark, 52, of Boynton Beach, robbed a TD Bank branch Saturday in Fort Lauderdale.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Boynton Beach woman has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Fort Lauderdale bank.

FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said Sonya Clark, 52, was arrested Wednesday morning at her Boynton Beach home.

Clark is accused of robbing a TD Bank branch at 1701 E. Sunrise Blvd. on Saturday morning.

Surveillance photographs showed the robber wearing a jean jacket and a hat pulled low over her face.

There were customers inside the bank at the time, but nobody was injured.

The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Marshall said Clark is facing federal charges.

Details about her arrest were not immediately available.
