Cellphone stolen during home invasion in Wilton Manors, police say

No injuries reported

WILTON MANORS, Fla. ā€“ Two men got away with a cellphone over the weekend during a home invasion robbery in Wilton Manors, authorities said.

The incident was reported shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 600 block of Northwest 22nd Street.

Police said two people who were home at the time heard a noise, possibly a knock at the front door, and were confronted by two men, who were standing inside their home.

One man was armed with a gun, police said.

Authorities said the robbers stole a cellphone from the victims and left in a dark-colored Kia vehicle, which had a Florida tag with possible partial letters GMU.

Nobody was injured during the incident.
