Jessica Brown, 25, and Kristian Demblans, 35, were arrested on drug charges at the Sunset Cove Beach Resort in Key Largo.

KEY LARGO, Fla. – A charter captain and a cashier were arrested Thursday afternoon after an undercover detective purchased heroin and cocaine at a Florida Keys resort, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.

The undercover operative met with Jessica Brown at Sunset Cove Beach Resort in Key Largo, Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said.

Brown, 25, took the investigator to a room at the resort and met with a man later identified as Kristian Demblans, Herrin said.

Demblans, 35, sold them heroin and, during another visit later in the day, crack cocaine, Herrin said.

Detectives obtained a search warrant to enter the room -- the waterfront "Pelican" unit that rents for $170 a night, according to the website -- and found a stash of drugs inside, Herrin said.

Among the drugs found were 23 grams of crack, 9 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of alprazolam, 7 grams of heroin and 5 grams of cocaine, as well as a large amount of drug paraphernalia, Herrin said.

Brown and Demblans were arrested on multiple drug charges. Demblans also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.

Online jail records list Brown as a cashier and Demblans as a charter captain in Key Largo.
