According to an arrest report, the victim went to the apartment to visit a woman, who lives with Bryan Manson.

The victim told police that the three were drinking when Manson, 36, randomly threw a bottle of Gatorade across the room and said, "Let me show you what warriors do."

Police said Manson pulled out a machete from a camouflage backpack and began cutting up furniture in the apartment.

The victim and Manson's roommate feared for their lives and tried to leave the apartment, but Manson stopped them, police said.

According to the report, Manson held the machete to the man's chest and said, "You're not going. You're not going. I'll (expletive) kill you."

The victim remained where he was until Manson went to the bathroom and he ran away.

Police said the victim and woman walked to a nearby golf course, where they called 911.

While one of the victims was on the phone with the dispatcher, Manson approached the man, struck him in the face, kicked his back and snatched his cellphone, the report said.

Officers detained Manson while he was walking in the area of Pine Ridge Drive and Lagoon Place.

He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, petty theft, battery, false imprisonment and tampering with a witness.
