LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A South Florida family is searching for their loved one's killer after her body was found floating in a canal in Lauderhill.
"(She was) a beautiful person, highly energetic," Tiara Register's brother, Steve Smith, said.
Relatives said Register, 30, had a presence that could fill an empty room.
"If you came around her, you would immediately fall in love with her aura," Smith said.
Police said Register was found dead Friday with a bullet wound to the head.
"The past few days have been bad. It's a horrible tragedy," Smith said. "Her kids are still going through it. We're just trying to take it one day at a time."
A passerby found Register's remains floating in a canal in the 1600 block of Northwest 34th Terrace.
Investigators have since ruled her death a homicide. But so far, few clues have come to light.
"Did she have any issues or perhaps any trouble leading up to this?" Local 10 News reporter Terrell Forney asked Smith.
"No, not at all," he said. "No enemies."
Register's family said they just want peace, primarily for her 10-year old daughter and 8-year-old son.
"We really need the answers," Smith said. "We really appreciate it. Just don't be silent. We need you guys to come forth."
