DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – A former lifeguard and swim instructor who is accused of sexually assaulting at least three girls in Deerfield Beach turned down a plea deal Monday that would have sentenced him to 25 years in prison.
Francisco De Aragon now faces up to life in prison if he is convicted by a jury.

De Aragon was arrested May 20, 2015, and charged with sexual battery on a minor and lewd and lascivious molestation on a minor.
Detectives said the last girl to come forward claimed De Aragon touched her vagina under her bathing suit during a swimming lesson at the Deerfield Beach Aquatic Center.
Two other 6-year-old girls also said De Aragon did the same thing to them.
According to a Broward Sheriff's Office report, De Aragon also touched one of the girls' buttocks during the session.
Authorities said the girls attend different schools and do not know each other.
De Aragon, who also worked as a lifeguard, was fired after his arrest.
Deerfield Beach employment records show De Aragon previously worked as an aquatics coordinator at the Boca West Country Club and as an enrollment adviser at Obridge Academy in West Palm Beach.
