HIALEAH, Fla. – A Hialeah man was arrested after police found about 80 pounds of marijuana plants growing in his garage, police said.

Martin Madrigal Jr., 27, was arrested Wednesday on various drug charges.

According to a Hialeah police report, authorities received an anonymous tip about a marijuana grow house on West 78th Terrace.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the home and saw Madrigal running from the garage to a room in the house, where he pretended like he was sleeping, the report said.

Police say these marijuana plants were found growing in the garage of Martin Madrigal Jr.'s Hialeah home.

Police said they found about 80 pounds of marijuana plants hanging upside-down in the garage. Police said they also found a shotgun and three shotgun shells.

Detectives searched Madrigal's room and found various steroids, the report said.

Madrigal is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
