Puppo had been on house arrest since his arrest, but sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera said Puppo cut off his monitoring device Wednesday and walked away from his home in the 14500 block of White Jade Terrace in Delray Beach.

Barbera said Puppo was apprehended Friday morning. She did not say where he was found.

According to a police report, Puppo robbed a Wells Fargo branch on Boynton Beach Boulevard in February, handing the teller a note claiming that he had a bomb in his backpack.

Police said Puppo fled on a bicycle, pedaling away with $1,447 in cash.
