HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale man is accused of stabbing a shopper multiple times at a Dollar Tree store in Hollywood.
Ryan Lucero, 23, was arrested Saturday on charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Hollywood police said Lucero used a kitchen knife that was for sale to stab a random woman in the store.
According to a police report, Lucero entered the store and asked an employee if there were any knives. Upon being directed to a wall of kitchen utensils, Lucero grabbed a kitchen knife, went into the bathroom, removed it from its packaging and walked out of the bathroom, stabbing the first shopper he saw.
Police said the woman was stabbed in the chest, shoulder and back. She was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
After the stabbing, Lucero ran away, but he was arrested the next day after police said he tried to steal beer from a gas station and assaulted the clerk.
Lucero's father told police that his son suffers from psychological problems.
