Man arrested in fatal shooting outside Lauderhill fish market

Trace Walker, 26, accused of shooting victim 13 times

LAUDERHILL, Fla. ā€“ A South Florida man accused of shooting another man 13 times outside a fish market in Lauderhill was arrested Wednesday on a premeditated murder charge.

Surveillance video from Jan. 16 shows a man, believed to be Trace Walker, 26, approaching the victim in the parking lot of the Lobster and Seafood Warehouse at 1856 NW 38th Ave.

Lauderhill police said that Walker shot Gary Wallock, 34, 13 times as Wallock and his girlfriend were about to leave in their car.

Police said Walker shot at Wallock's girlfriend, but she ran away and was not injured.

Walker fled the scene in a blue 2010 Nissan Altima with dark-tinted windows, police said.

He was identified as a suspect days after the shooting and was arrested Wednesday in Palm Beach County by Lauderhill police, with the assistance of the West Palm Beach Police Department, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Walker is being held without bond at the Broward County main jail.

A motive for the shooting is unknown.
