Man stabs his mother, her boyfriend after argument over marijuana use

Both victims stabs multiple times

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.An argument over marijuana use led a  26-year-old man to stab his mother and her boyfriend Tuesday night inside a Coral Springs apartment, city police said.

The argument over Artner Jocelyn’s smoking marijuana in and out of the house began in the 9000 block of Northwest 28th Drive, where Jocelyn lives with his mom and her boyfriend.

Things began to escalate, and Jocelyn armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed his mother's boyfriend once in the head, twice in the back and three times in the neck, police said.

Jocelyn then ran into the master bedroom, where stabbed his mother about eight times in areas including the breast, lower abdomen and genital area, police said.

At one point, the boyfriend left the apartment in an attempt to get help, police said, and Jocelyn ran after him but eventually stopped after he noticed neighbors outside.

Jocelyn got into the boyfriend’s vehicle where he remained until police arrived.

A witness identified Jocelyn, and police detained him and  also recovered the knife used during the stabbing in the driver seat, police said.

Jocelyn was arrested on a felony attempted murder charge.
