Man threatens store clerk with sword, demands beer

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Reginald Lide walked into a store wielding a sword. The store clerk told police officers that Lide shouted orders. He wanted beer.

The store clerk threatened Lide with a broom stick. Police officers who were driving by the Time Saver store in Tallahassee on Thursday said they spotted Lide, 47. 

The store owner shouted, "Stop him!"

Police officers followed and arrested Lide. He was booked into the Leo County jail and faced an armed robbery charge.
