2 men arrested on multiple drug charges

Harold and Jack Cantres were arrested on multiple drug charges Wednesday in Big Coppitt Key.

BIG COPPITT KEY, Fla. – Deputies serving a search warrant on a Florida Keys home found marijuana floating in a clogged toilet bowl.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested two men Wednesday on multiple drug charges in Big Coppitt Key.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said Harold Cantres and Jack Cantres refused to open the door when detectives knocked, so detectives forced their way inside.

Detectives found a clogged toilet with marijuana floating in the water. Herrin said Jack Cantres admitted to trying to flush the drugs down the toilet.

Herrin said authorities also found individual packages of heroin in Harold Cantres' car and more than $3,000 in cash in his pants pocket. She said marijuana and Spice were found in another car.

Jack Cantres also faces charges of resisting arrest and tampering with evidence.
