A memorial was growing on Friday night, a day after Antquinisha "Nisha" Flowers was shot dead in Miami's Liberty City.
Her mom, Shantell Flowers, said that as soon as she heard there had been a shooting, she ran out the door.
When the mom got to Northwest 66th Street and 12th Avenue, she said she saw her 18-year-old girl had been shot. There was blood on her chest.
"I see my baby down on the ground ... I can't talk to her no more. I can't do nothing with her no more," Flowers said before breaking down in tears.
Flowers' 17-year-old cousin was also shot, but he survived. Paramedics took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
Flowers' girlfriend Tiara Reese described Flowers as a loving and caring teen.
"She is not a trouble maker," Reese said. And she had a request for the public: "If you all saw anything, just please, please, she did not deserve this. She really didn't."
