Men steal diamond rings from Zales jewelry store

2 wanted in Galleria Mall robbery

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police are looking for two men who stole a pair of diamond rings from a Zales jewelry store at Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale.

The robbery happened on Feb. 19.

Police say two men entered the store before the robbery and walked around. They then left.

One of the men, described as about 180 pounds and 6 feet 3 inches tall, came back inside a short time later, police say.

The man asked to see a diamond ring, An employee removed it from a display case and handed it to him. As the employee reached for another diamond ring, the man snatched it out of her hand and ran out of the store with both rings.

Police believe the men left the mall in a Hyundai Sonata.

The man who stole the rings was last seen wearing a red shirt, black jacket, sunglasses, and a hat.

The getaway driver, described as about 180 pounds and 6 feet tall, was last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
