Miami police search for man who robbed Sedano's Supermarket at gunpoint

'Don't be the first one to get shot,' man yells at cashier, police say

MIAMI ā€“ Miami police are searching for a man who robbed a Sedano's Supermarket at gunpoint on Dec. 1.

The man walked into the supermarket, 2425 SW Eighth St., and browsed through the aisles before he approached a cashier and showed her a gun that was hidden under his shirt, police said.

The man then demanded all the money from inside the cash register and yelled in Spanish, "Don't be the first one to get shot," according to police.

The cashier got the money for the man, who then ran away in an unknown direction.Ā 

Police said that the robber has been described as being between 23-30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 180-190 pounds and last seen wearing a white sweater and a dark colored baseball cap.Ā
