MIAMI – Miami police are searching for a man they believe robbed about $8,000 from a CVS Pharmacy store last month.
The robber, who has not been identified, arrived at the CVS at about 2:30 a.m. May 15 in the 1100 block of Southwest Eighth Street.

While in the store the man prowled around the aisles as he appeared to be on his cellphone, police said.
Eventually, he made his way to the manager’s office without being noticed by any of the store's employees.
That's where police believe the man reached behind a computer monitor and retrieved an unknown item. The robber then went to the store’s safe and opened it with the object he got from behind the computer.
The man is seen on surveillance video placing objects inside his waistband.
Before leaving the office, the man disconnected the store’s surveillance monitor and hard drives and stuffed them inside his book bag, police said.
The store's management team realized the robbery took place later that day when a Brinks employee came to collect the store’s deposit, police said.
The robber took $7,989 from the store, along with the store’s security system monitor and hard drive, police said.
The burglar is described as a heavyset man who is 40 - 60 years old, and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall.
