Police identify man wanted for questioning about fatal stabbing outside liquor store

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police released surveillance images Thursday of a man who is wanted for questioning about a fatal stabbing that took place outside a liquor store.

Police said Raul Beatriz, 45, was fatally stabbed shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday night outside a liquor store on Bird Road and Southwest 114th Avenue.

Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said the fight started in the liquor store.

"He was approached by another male," Zabaleta said. "They walked out. There was some type of confrontation, possible physical confrontation outside of the liquor store, and then one of the subjects flees the area."

Beatriz was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man wanted for questioning had a full beard and was wearing a hat and sunglasses while inside the store.
