Robbery reported at Stonegate Bank branch in Weston

WESTON, Fla. – The FBI is investigating a bank robbery that was reported Wednesday morning in Weston, authorities said.

The robbery was reported at a Stonegate Bank branch at 1504 Weston Road.

Surveillance images show the robber, dressed in black with a bandanna covering his face, pointing a handgun at a teller. He was also wearing gloves.

Weston officials asked the public to avoid the area while the investigation is underway.

The FBI is still searching for the robber, described as a black male with a thin build. He was wearing a hoodie and baggy jeans during the robbery, authorities said.
