Shoplifters steal thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Toys 'R' Us store

iPods, baby monitors reported stolen from Doral store in July

DORAL, Fla. ā€“ Doral police are searching for a number of people who they said shoplifted last month at a Toys "R" Us store.

The first theft at the Toys "R" Us at 1645 NW 107th Ave. was reported July 7.

Police said a man and a woman were captured on surveillance cameras breaking into a locked display cabinet.

The couple placed 19 iPods, valued at more than $4,000, inside the woman's purse and walked out of the store, police said.

Authorities said four women were also captured on surveillanceĀ cameras July 28 stealing baby monitors at the same store.

The baby monitors were valued at more than $450.Ā
