According to a Boynton Beach police report, Hunter communicated with an undercover detective via Facebook and arranged to sell him six stolen iPhones.

Hunter suggested a price of $650 for the iPhones and met the detective Tuesday in a parking lot at 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd., police said.

Two of the iPhones were stolen from victims who had attempted to sell them using the mobile app OfferUp. When the victims met with the potential buyer in the same parking lot, they were robbed of their iPhones, police said.

Hunter was taken into custody once he arrived to make the exchange, and the stolen iPhones were recovered, police said.

Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said detectives believe that Hunter and another person were involved in the robberies, as well as more than a dozen others. Slater said more charges are pending.
