WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. ā A South Florida woman accused of pointing a gun at her neighbor and pulling the trigger was arrested Monday after a standoff with deputies, a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said.
Sonya Gaskell, 55, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Gaskell's neighbor called deputies to report that the armed woman "just pointed and discharged the firearm at her," sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera said.
Gaskell then went inside her home in the 1600 block of Alexander Run in Jupiter Farms and refused to come outside when deputies arrived, Barbera said.
The SWAT team was called, and Gaskell eventually surrendered peacefully, Barbera said.
A motive for the incident wasn't immediately known.
The neighbor wasn't injured.
