Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said Schuler intentionally shot Petit-Bien, who had just moved into the home on Willow Spring Circle.

Barbera said Palm Beach County Judge Sherri Collins signed a first-degree murder warrant Monday.

Schuler is being held without bond at the main Broward County jail. He was arrested by Broward Sheriff's Office deputies in March in connection with a fatal attack at a Deerfield Beach construction site.

Deputies said Schuler used a crowbar to repeatedly hit Arcenio Alvarez, 32, in the head. Deputies said co-workers chased Schuler, who jumped down a construction chute in an attempt to get away.

Motives for the attack and the shooting are not known.
