Woman killed, 9-year-old daughter injured in shooting

Man gunned down nearly an hour later, deputies say

WEST PARK, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating two fatal shootings that happened Thursday night in West Park.

Deputies said they responded to calls about gunfire near Southwest 46th Avenue and 22nd Street.

When they arrived, they found three victims inside a car, including a 9-year-old child, identified as Kalaya Clark. Kalaya was taken to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, where she is in serious condition.

The man and woman that were in the car were also taken to the hospital, where the woman, identified as Patrice Simone Nunnally, 28, later died. Her sister-in-law initially told Local 10 News that Nunnally was 5 months pregnant, however a medical examiner determined that Nunnally was not pregnant.

"We were just outside, mourning my auntie that just passed a week ago, and this happened," Ashley Milline said. "It's a lot to deal with. I just hope whoever did this ... I hope Patrice gets justice."

Authorities said Milline's brother, identified as Tyrell Jamar Myrick, 28, suffered serious injuries in the shooting.

Milline said Nunnally was shot in the head and Kayala was shot in the thigh, knee and arm. She said her brother was shot in the torso and lower back.

Nearly an hour later, authorities said they found another man, identified as Cody Sanders, 26, who was shot on Southwest 23rd Street. Sanders was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he died.

Investigators are searching for the shooter or shooters. It's unclear whether the shootings are related.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest in each case.
