Vehicle believed to be used during fatal armed robbery of pawn shop recovered

MIAMI – Miami police detectives have recovered a red Chevrolet Equinox believed to have been used by the men behind a fatal armed robbery last week in Miami.

The robbery was reported Jan. 5 at Value Joyeria Y Prestamos at 717 SW 17th Ave in Little Havana.

Police said a customer, Ricardo Soler Reyes, 65, was found dead inside the shop after two armed men stormed in and robbed the business.

Police said one of the men started smashing jewelry display cases while the other pointed his gun at customers in the store.

One of the men opened fire moments later, killing Soler Reyes.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
