WILTON MANORS, Fla. ā Wilton Manors police are investigating a robberyĀ in the 600 block of Northwest 22ndĀ Street.
It happened at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
The home that was targeted has an alarm sign in front and is in a neighborhood with a citizens crime watch.
"They were dusting a 5-gallon change jar that someone dumped in the street, getting fingerprints on it," a resident said. "The helicopter was flying around and I was close by so I took a walk down there to see what was going on."
This robbery comes less than a week after two men ambushed a man in the middle of the night in a nearby Wilton Manors neighborhood.
The man was pistol whipped and robbed.
"I never thought it could happen to me and that it would happen in Wilton Manors," the Ā victim said. Ā
Police are searching a man with short hair and a stocky build in connection to Saturdayās incident.
They're also looking for a man who has dreadlocks, clear glasses, a medium build and was seen with a revolver.
The getaway car is believed to be a black Kia with possible front-end damage.
