BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Two women were arrested Wednesday after using a pickax to break into two Boynton Beach restaurants, police said.
Victoria DeJesus and Deztanie DeJesus, both 19, were arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office South County Task Force shortly after the burglaries.

Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said the first break-in was reported at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday at Jupiter Donuts, 2260 W. Woolbright Road.
Slater said one of the suspects grabbed an employee and walked her around the business, searching for a cash register.
Slater said the women left because there wasn’t any money in the restaurant.
Authorities said the women also broke into Jersey Mike’s Subs, located next door, and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register.
The women were driving stolen vehicles when police found them, Slater said.
Charges against the women are pending further investigation, including DNA results, Slater said.
