KEY LARGO, Fla. – Three groups of Cuban migrants came ashore the Florida Keys between Sunday and Monday, Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said.
The first group of 13 men from Cuba arrived at 2:30 a.m. Sunday near the 99 mile marker in Key Largo, Herrin said.

On Monday, another 13 male migrants from Cuba came ashore at 1 a.m. in the area of State Road 905, between U.S. 1 and Card Sound Road.
The migrants were taken to the Circle K at the 106 mile marker of the highway to wait for Customs and Border Protection agents.
Herrin said three male migrants arrived in Key Colony Beach at 9:30 a.m.
All three groups were in good condition and turned over to CBP agents.
The migrants are expected to stay in the U.S. under the federal "wet foot, dry foot" policy. Those intercepted at sea are usually sent back to Cuba.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, more than 5,300 Cuban migrants attempted to flee the island by sea since Oct. 1, 2015, compared to 2014 when more than 4,400 tried to reach U.S. soil.
