MIAMI – The White House is expected to help push for more business deals between American companies and the Cuban government before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
General Electric, Alphabet Inc's Google unit, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Pearl Seas Cruises were among the firms expected to secure new agreements with Cuba, according to the Wall Street Journal.

After the announcement of Fidel Castro's death, Trump referred to him as a "brutal dictator" who oppressed Cubans. And during his campaign, Trump promised he was going to oppose normalizing relations with Cuba.
"If Cuba is unwilling to make a better deal for the Cuban people, the Cuban-American people and the U.S. as a whole, I will terminate the deal," Trump wrote on Twitter this week.
During a rally at the Bay of Pigs memorial in Little Havana on Wednesday, many Cuban exiles brought their "Make America Great Again" red hats and signs in support of Trump.
