WASHINGTON, D.C. – Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez is in Washington, D.C. this morning to meet with South Florida representatives and several other lawmakers, according to the Miami Herald.
According to the newspaper, Sanchez will meet with Representatives Joe Garcia and Illeana Ros-Lehtinen at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Soon after, she will reportedly be attending a reception with members of Congress. Attendees to that reception include Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Mario Diaz-Balart. They will be discussing Cuban issues, according to the Herald.
Sanchez will be visiting Miami in April and has plans to speak at Miami-Dade College's Freedom Tower. She is currently on a 3-month, 12-country tour after being approved for a travel visa.
