DAVIE, Fla. – A Davie man was killed Thursday when the motorcycle he was driving struck a barrier wall at an on-ramp to Interstate 595, throwing him over the ledge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported just before 4 p.m. on the northbound State Road 7 ramp to westbound I-595.

Kyle Awan, 22, lost control of the motorcycle while coming around the curve and struck the concrete barrier wall, Sgt. Mark Wysocky said. Awan was ejected and fell over the wall, plunging about 90 feet to the ground, Wysocky said.
Sky 10 was above the crash scene as Awan's body was covered by a yellow tarp.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
