Death of Wilton Manors man last week ruled homicide

Henry Vidal, 32, found dead in apartment Thursday

WILTON MANORS, Fla. – The death of a 32-year-old man whose body was found in his Wilton Manors apartment last week is now being investigated as a homicide.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were called to Henry Vidal's apartment at 578 NE 20th St. last Thursday after a concerned coworker went to the home when Vital didn't show up for work.

BSO spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said there were no obvious signs of trauma to Vidal's body, and the case was initially being categorized as a death investigation pending the outcome of an autopsy.

The Broward County medical examiner's office declared the death a homicide Monday.

Deputies have not released the cause of death.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
