Deputies catch 2 men burglarizing Deerfield Beach home

Authorities received tip about burglary

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Two men were arrested Tuesday after authorities caught them burglarizing a Deerfield Beach home, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Members of the Burglary Apprehension Team, which consists of detectives from multiple law enforcement agencies, received a tip about the burglary and arrived at a home in the 1000 block of Southeast 12th Court in time to see Jamsen Petit Nord and Marc Jean arrive.

Jean parked a 2002 Toyota pickup at the home at about 9:30 a.m., and Petit Nord to jump over the fence and  entered the home through a window, while Jean drove off and waited at a nearby gas station, deputies said.

Jean later returned to the home and helped Petit Nord load a flat-screen TV, jewelry and a tin full of coins into the pickup, deputies said.

The pair were stopped and arrested at Southwest Third Avenue and Southwest 10th Street.

All the property was returned to the Deerfield Beach homeowners, deputies said.

One of the men arrested was found in possession of two stolen firearms and ammunition unrelated to the Deerfield Beach burglary.

The BAT team in this case included detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the Coral Springs Police Department.
