MARATHON, Fla. - A Florida Keys man faces serious charges after allegedly holding up his tenants with a shotgun.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies said Michael Sapp, 47, got into an argument with his tenants in Marathon on Thursday because they hadn't been paying rent on time.
Deputies said Sapp said he used the shotgun "to make his point."
The alleged victims told deputies they had just returned from shopping when Sapp confronted them with the shotgun.
Deputies arrested Sapp and took him to jail. He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
