LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – A missing 5-year-old girl from Lauderdale Lakes has been found "alive and well," according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The BSO said Tuesday night on Twitter that Shinelle Isaac has been reunited with her parents.
Shinelle was reported missing by her parents about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after she disappeared from Central Charter, 4525 N. State Road 7, in Lauderdale Lakes, according to a media release.
According to the girl's family, the kindergarten student was supposed to get on a school bus to go home with her older sister, but instead got on the wrong bus and was taken to a nearby day care center.
"She was supposed to be waiting until the seventh grader (got) out of school and they could ride the bus together, and they put her on a different bus," Shinice Isaac, the girl's sister, said.
Desiree Furlong said her daughter was taken to Teddy Bear Child Care, 4340 W. Oakland Park Blvd., which is a 24-hour day care center.
Furlong said the family posted a photo of the missing girl on Facebook, and a worker at the child care saw the post and contacted authorities.
