According to deputies, Deas fatally shot Brandon Jones, 19, and wounded another man at the Gulfstream Apartments late Friday night.

Deputies said Jones and his friend were walking by Deas when Deas said,"Do you have a problem?" Deas then allegedly pulled out a handgun and tried to rob the victims. Deputies said Deas shot Jones in the torso, and then stood over him and shot him a second time. They said Deas shot the other victim as the man tried running away.

Following the alleged attack, authorities said numerous tips began pouring in naming Deas as the gunman. A handwritten note was also placed by someone on the car of Jones' sister stating Deas killed her brother.

Deas turned himself in to the Broward Sheriff's Office Tuesday night.

Jones' friend, who is not being identified for his protection, is expected to survive his gunshot wounds.
