MIAMI – Miami Heat Disc Jockey DJ Irie is getting ready for his 9th Annual Irie Weekend.
For 13 years, Heat fans have seen Ian Groucher on the turntables at the American Airlines Arena. He is the NBA's first ever disc jockey and is now a celebrity performer worldwide.
Groucher calls the Heat's 3rd Championship win "Epic."
Groucher is also committed to giving back to the South Florida. Inspired by a "Teach for America" experience, he started a foundation and fundraiser to give scholarships and mentoring opportunities to South Florida's disadvantaged youth.
"It s not that the kids don't have the ambition... it's lack of opportunity, " Groucher told Local 10's Neki Mohan.
