Dorian no longer tropical cyclone, moves away from So Fla.

Rains soak South Fla. as storm season peaks

MIAMI – Officials say Dorian is no longer a tropical cyclone after it regenerated into a tropical depression Saturday morning.

The 5 p.m. advisory had Dorian at winds of 30 mph with higher gusts.

Local 10 Hurricane Headquarters

According to the National Hurricane Center, the post-tropical cyclone is expected to dissipate early Sunday.

There are currently no watches or warnings in effect.

Storms may move through South Florida due to the proximity of Dorian, but the system overall is moving away from South Florida. It is also expected to stay off the Southeast coast.
