City of Miami: Promoter failed to obtain required permits

MIAMI – A representative with the City of Miami said that between 20 and 25 people were ill or injured at a bacchanalian event that took place at Atlantic Fish House and Market and Bayside Hut.

The representative said 11 people were transported to area hospitals, while all others affected were treated at the scene.

The event promoter had reportedly not obtained the required permits necessary for the event.

The City of Miami has now launched an investigation into the incident and the promoters responsible.

"We will not tolerate any type of unpermitted event that puts our community at risk or affects the quality of life of the City of Miami's residents," said Mayor Tomas Regalado.
