Driver crashes Jeep into bedroom of 4-year-old boy

Boy not hurt when Jeep crashes into bedroom while he was sleeping

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A southwest Miami-Dade County home was severely damaged after a driver crashed a Jeep into a front bedroom where a 4-year-old boy was sleeping.

The driver lost control of the Jeep and crashed into the home at 13901 Southwest 152nd Court.

Eric Steman said he was inside when he heard a loud screeching and boom.

"Before we knew it, there was a car halfway in our house," Steman said.

Steman said the whole house shook. His son's bed was pushed to the other side of the room.

"He was very scared," Sterman said of his son. "His eyes were wide awake when my wife and I came in the room, but he didn't say anything. We just grabbed him and got out of there."

Sterman said he believes the driver was treated at the scene. It was not known whether she was cited. He said he was "very glad that no one was hurt."
