Driver crashes into Plantation funeral home

Plantation Fire Rescue: Driver hit fire hydrant, caused flooding outside business

PLANTATION, Fla. – A driver plowed into a funeral home and fire hydrant Tuesday afternoon, causing flooding outside the building in Plantation.

The accident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Northwest Fourth Street.

According to authorities, the driver suffered some sort of medical issue before driving into the business.

Fire officials said the driver hit a fire sprinkler, fire hydrant and traffic signal box before crashing into the building.

The driver was taken to the hospital. His injuries have not been released at this time.
