Driver crashes through entrance gates of Hollywood Seminole Reservation

Driver failed to stop before exiting reservation, authorities say

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Seminole police are searching for the driver of a Honda that plowed through the entrance gates of the Hollywood Seminole Reservation early Saturday.

According to Seminole Tribe spokesman Gary Bitner, a dark-gray four-door Honda Accord was heading north on North 64th Avenue from Sheridan Street when it crashed into the gates at 1:55 a.m.

Bitner said the car did not stop and exited the reservation at Stirling Road and headed west.

Police believe the car likely has damage along the front and possible scrapes of black paint marks on at least one side of the car.

Seminole police are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call 954-967-8900.
